This course provides an opportunity to exhibit interpersonal and technical skills required for application of criminal justice concepts in contemporary practical situations. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and integration of theory and practical skills components. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge required of any entry-level law enforcement officer and be familiar with all aspects of law enforcement.

This core-course will examine crime, justice and security in a global and transnational context, the way in which these are constructed as problems to be dealt with by legal and political means, and the domestic and international responses.
