The aim of this advanced translation course is to familiarize students with the challenges that a translator faces in practice. At the same time, the course will also connect the practice with academic disciplines and fields that are relevant to the translator's work such as linguistics (comparative grammar, semantics and pragmatics, lexicography and terminography), comparative literature, translation theory and culture studies. It will also focus on the ethics of the field.

To equip students with theoretical background on translation studies as a discipline and help them acquire the skills and effective strategies in various fields, including the field of mass communication, politics, diplomacy, law, and literature.
