Description

This course provides the foundation for students to successfully submit their MSc thesis. The course fully explains the MLA/APA Style requirements, how to research and take notes, construct thesis and chapter outlines, and write a thesis chapter, abstract, and bibliography.

Objectives

This is not so much a course on how to write a thesis, but rather, how to write your own thesis. While there will be some time devoted to theory, this semester's study will primarily focus on the application – the doing, the writing. By the end of this semester, you will have accomplished a good portion of your thesis work. You will then have the time, in consultation with your thesis supervisor, for additional research and writing. This course will put you in a good position to successfully complete, submit, and defend your thesis at the end of your ELL MSc Studies.
