Description: The aim of this course is introducing students to British literature. It covers the period from the prehistoric era to the present day, focusing on the most significant developments of various periods. In this course students will study texts from different literary genres, in both poetry and prose.
Objectives: To equip students with knowledge about the major works of British literature following a chronological order. Students will be introduced to writers of various literary periods and to their works. At the end of the semester students will submit themselves to the written exam to test not only the gained knowledge, but mainly the ability to use this knowledge in literary critical analysis.

1: Të identifikojnë dhe gjurmojnë zhvillimet në letërsinë britanike nga fillesat në periudhën moderne, duke shpjeguar lëvizjet letrare, historike , filozofike, shoqërore, dhe teologjike kyçe dhe duke eksploruar se si këto lëvizje janë pasqyruar në letërsinë përfaqësues të kohës.
2: Të kuptojnë termat letrarë , tematikën kryesore, dhe parimet kritike dhe t’i përdorin ato për të analizuar vepra të veçanta të letërsisë britanike sipas periudhave kohore të përcaktuara.
3: Të shprehin gjithë vizionin / qasjet dhe të kuptuarin në letërsinë dhe kulturën e çdo periudhe duke e analizuar atë përmes një stili të qartë shpjegues.
