Text Analysis 2, looks at and analyses a wide variety of types of texts in English, teaching the students to become competent in understanding and using a wide range of textual genre. The specific aim of this course is to teach students how to approach a literary text. Thus the texts are divided into three genres; prose, drama, and poetry. Assignment: Students are to develop a review of a literary text taught in the class.

Students will be able to distinguish different types of text. They will try to build imagery from what they read. Students will try to analyze the themes treated in short stories. They will get an understanding of symbols and the meaning they convey.
