Description

This integrated language skills 1 course provides students with advanced knowledge in all four skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking. This course mainly focuses on two language skills: Reading and writing [eg word connections) - situational context (style) in word choice; and two language skills.

Objectives

To provide future English language teachers with current methodologies for the teaching of the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) plus culture; 1. to equip upcoming English language educators with contemporary techniques for instructing the four fundamental language competencies (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in addition to cultural aspects. 2. to enhance understanding of both the theoretical and practical methods for assessing and creating materials. 3. to formulate plans for enhancing communicative abilities 4. to foster awareness of how to create materials for language learning that promote diversity and innovation and contribute to one's growth as a teacher. 5. to increase comprehension of how to choose suitable materials for particular audiences. to develop understanding of appropriateness of materials for specific target groups.
