Description

This course talks about the technical concepts of teamwork or individualization for the realization of audio and video products, audio and video editing for traditional audiovisual media, or adapted for social media, is vital to the messages they convey to the public . Through this discipline, students will be trained in knowledge of the role and techniques of editing in order to benefit from valuable broadcast materials.

Objectives

The aim of this course is for students to have knowledge on the role, use and effects of technology in audio and video editing processes. Know their correct use, depending on the type of media and programming where they will be used.

Introduction. Course presentation In this lecture an introduction to the course is made. The introduction contains the explanation of the objectives of the course, its description, as well as the detailed explanation of the topics which will take place week after week. Also, during this lecture, students are introduced to the subjects of subject evaluation, as well as the projects that will be carried out during the semester for the subject of audio and video editing.

Familiarity with editing programs. Importing and placing materials in the timeline. Work tools Throughout this lecture students are introduced to editing programs such as Adobe Auditio; Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects and Filmora. Further, students are introduced to the principles of editing in these programs, their structure, tools in these programs, as well as how to import materials into these programs. Also, students during this lecture, get acquainted and work with the placement of materials in the timeline (or editing panel) and the specifics of the work in it. Creating and editing text; In this lecture dedicated to text in editing programs, we will address the ways of placing text graphics, types of text, specifics that must be taken into account when working with text. Also in this lecture will be treated strips and their types, ready-made graphics and created graphics. Also in this lecture will be treated the subtitling and textual graphics for the film; text animation and the effects it can take. Wave recording and editing of sound; Throughout this lecture we will work on editing audio data. The work will be done in the form of SHEETS. In this lecture the types of mono and stereo sound will be treated; converting to each type, cutting and deleting audio parts; gluing of sound parts, application of various effects; noise reduction, increase and decrease of volume, etc. The lecture is mainly based on sound editing in Adobe Audition. Sound editing in Multitrack: podcast edits; In this lecture will be treated and worked voice in Multitrack form (with many voices). Editing and mixing of voices will be addressed throughout the lecture; setting and superimposing sound effects; audio narratives as well as audio editing specifically for podcasts. Audio-based video editing: Synchronize audio with video; This lecture deals with the characteristics of audio for video; the role and necessity of interfaces for recording, recording, importing, volume, rhythm, cutting, overlapping, effects. Through various exercises in this lecture is applied the replacement of images and objects in video sequences. Editing for platforms This lecture will address the theoretical aspects of editing such as plans, details, film editing techniques, chronicles and commercials, different types of cutting, sound effects recording techniques, slow motion and fast image movements. Export and save video and audio formats; This lecture will deal with the finalization of the edited work by storing and exporting it. Also in this lecture will be treated the types and formats of audio and video duets, for different platforms in editing programs (Adobe Auditio; Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects and Filmora), the dynamic connections between the multimedia system Adobe Creative Cloud, as and export via Adobe Media Encoder.
