Description

This course aims to explain how a research can be implemented and ensuring that it is based on the right method, thus providing theoretical-critical-analytical support about the usefulness of doing research, but it will also be a guide and help on how to write a research.

Objectives

At the end of the course students will be able to: 1. Understand the concept of "scientific method" and the attitudes that should be maintained towards research and should be able to conduct detailed research. 2. Should be able to define a research topic and a focus or hypothesis for research 3. Write a literature review 4. Conceive and propose a research project 5. Develop a complete research project

What is scientific research? Characteristics of scientific research. Quality in scientific research. (pp. 6-16) In this lecture there will be discussed in more detail the nature and objectives of research in education, as well as the role of scientific research in education

Knowledge, theories, paradigms and perspectives. (pp. 42-53) In this lecture there will be addressed issues such as the nature of the subject of scientific research in the social sciences.
