The course presents the key concepts of political communication in the era of the new media. While the media's role in public sphere; in mediating between political actors and the audience has grown, also is increased the importance of publicists, press agents and public relations agents- political consultants; differenly called as political public relations industry. The course aims to explain the role of the political actors and their relations with the mass media, analyzing elite discourse and campaign messages, in the framework of the political communication process. Special attention is delivered to strategic communication and political marketing during political campaigns (political elections). The course aims to explore the challenges raised by the political use of media and along with it the interaction of political communication elements, in processes and strategies used.
