Description

In this course are examined the sources of Islamic jurisprudence and the methods of its commentary. The basic sources of Islamic jurisprudence inform us about its historical development and main currents. With this, it is intended that the students, having knowledge about the source of the provisions of Islamic Jurisprudence, acquire the ability to argue these provisions. In particular, the value and the corresponding obligation of these provisions are emphasized. The rules of language and methodology, which must be met in order to better understand religious texts, are examined. It also aims to gain the student's ability to extract provisions from religious texts as well as to provide solutions to new issues under the framework of Islamic Jurisprudence.

Objectives

The purpose of this course is for students to know the science of Islamic Jurisprudence from a systematic point of view and the terms of this science.
