Description: The course gives a general overview of Special Education. Various basic concepts that are pertinent to Special Education are clarified. Major principles in the practice of Special Education are also covered.Classifications of Special Persons forming the strata of students with special needs are discussed extensively. Common causes of disabilities are discussed.The various ways by which students with special needs can be recognized also form part of the course. In addition, Curriculum and Instructional needs of gifted students are also dealt with.

1: Nxënësit do të jenë të aftë të demonstrojnë njohuri të plota dhe një të kuptuar të thellë të karakteristikave të fëmijëve me nevoja të vecanta.
2: Nxënësit do të jenë të aftë të aplikojnë njohuritë e hulumtimit psikologjik në vlerësimin e metodave arsimore që përdoren për fëmijët me nevoja të vecanta.
3: Nxënësit do të jenë të aftë të përfshihen në debate dhe diskutime rreth arsimit special dhe gjithëpërfshirës duke përfshirë rritjen e vetëdijes rreth cështjeve që kanë të bëjnë me arsimin e fëmijëve me nevoja të vecanta.
